Stuff We'll Cover:

Gear Choice and Lens Selection

In Camera Shooting (get it right the 1st time!)

Composition & Framing

Perspective & Angles

Light - the most important aspect of photography

Workflow - how to save your images and name your folders

We are going to cover a ton of stuff in these two nights.  You might leave feeling pretty overwhelmed, but you are going to go home with a concise workbook that you can use for reference in the future.  You will also be granted access to a private Facebook group, where you are more than welcome to ask questions, post work for critique, and share your successes and frustrations.

You are shooting in auto, and not getting the results you want.  Or, you are shooting in manual, and not getting the results you want.  If either of these two sentences describe you, this class is for you!!   This is for those of you who own a nice camera, and want to use it to it's full potential.  We don't cover anything related to business in this class.

We've both been approached about mentoring and while we're passionate about helping new photographers its just too much of a time investment for us right now! But, we're excited to offer this new workshop to help you get your business running as seamlessly as possible, without you having to invest in one-on-one mentoring! This is the perfect solution for us, AND YOU!

So, you might be comfortable shooting in manual, and you may have pretty good handle on shooting in most lighting conditions, and you want to start or have started charging for your talent.  But maybe your edits look like something from 1989, or you have no contracts in place, or you're wondering when/if you need a business license, or if you have to collect/pay tax??   Starting a business is hard, and we want to help you get it off on the right foot, right from the start.

Night 1:  Mon, Nov 20, 2017, 7:30-10pm

Night 2:  Mon, Nov 27, 2017, 7:30-10pm

Please ensure you can commit to both classes before purchasing a seat!

When & Where?

Because nobody likes talking business or crunching numbers, we're going to spread this class over a couple of evenings, so you don't get "glaze-over-itis".  It's a real thing.  We'll allow time for some Q&A during both evenings as well.  We will also be offering a live shoot, for you to see how we interact with our clients, use lighting and location to our best advantage, and how we direct posing.

Stay tuned for upcoming dates!!  Feel free to contact us for more details, or to be added to a mailing list to ensure you know immediately when a class is open for registration.

Address:

Chilliwack or Abbotsford - address to be confirmed closer to the date.
